WHat is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy is dedicated to improving function and independence in our clients’ lives at home, school, and in the community. Our occupational therapists conduct thorough evaluations to identify each clients’ deficit areas in order to create an individualized plan of care. We use a holistic approach for building skills and generalizing these skills to a variety of environments.  We address client function in many areas, some of which include: fine motor skills, visual motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing, executive functioning, activities of daily living, reflex integration, social interaction skills, coordination/motor planning, and strength/endurance. As occupational therapists, we work with a wide range of client diagnoses, including: Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delay, physical disabilities, and sensory processing delays. Our priority for each child is to increase functional independence and enable them to live life to the fullest!
